Isn't this just a knockout opening? As much as I don't appreciate all things Tarantino, the guy knows how to open a movie, and his musical taste is impeccable. I hate (and then love) how patient he is with the first two minutes: You. Will. Watch. Jackie. Glide. It's hypnotizing.
